SUMMER ESCAPE: SHERCON RESORT HOTEL & ECOLOGY PARK - BATANGAS

A two - hour trip, a reasonable budget, and good company for a day escape is a sure formula of a hassle-free, fun-filled activity. Shercon Resort Tropical Farm - Hotel - Ecology Park was an easy choice. Located in Brgy. San Sebastian, Mataas Na Kahoy, Batangas, this resort was in the forefront for team buildings because of its many choices of activity. Development started 30 years ago and progressively saw the 7 swimming pools, including a pocket design - one its many first for a resort - customized team building activities, both indoor and outdoor, 8 function halls to choose from depending of your theme and many more. 

Actually a 5 star hotel is in the pipeline this year accommodating more guests, in addition to its existing villas and cabins. The resort is also a perfect choice for destination weddings. Exchanging 'I do's' overlooking Taal Lakes won't hurt either. LOL. Seriously, this 50 hectare vast land is no joke. Currently, 15 hectares was used and developed. Got the picture! Anyways, breakfast was served as soon as we arrived, consisting of, well, breakfast staples. Our waiter recommended for an order of pancit canton which we obliged. Well, good for us, the pancit does keep us sustainable during the tour. During breaks from the endless combing of the resort, the pancit tend to our hungry stomachs. 😆 The servings was huge so we took out whatever what was left in the table. Thanks to Sam's Kitchen, the resort go-to kitchen when it comes to Filipino cuisine. Ambiance was perfect too. You were surrounded with lush greeneries while sipping your black coffee.

HOW TO GET THERE From Buendia/Cubao Stations, ride a bus going to Lipa and get off in Tambo Exit just at the side of Jollibee (2 hrs ; P124). Cross the street fronting Jollibee. Ride a jeepney going to Mataas Na Kahoy and alight in front of 7/11 in the town center (25 min ; P13). From there, ride a tricycle going to Shercon Resort & Ecology Park (10 min ; P50/tricyle).
